Thanksgiving, Jelly Belly, San Francisco, Disneyland (Oh My!)

I can’t believe how busy I’ve been lately! Right after Thanksgiving (Nov 26th) we took a big family trip up to Grandma’s house in Reno, NV for a late Thanksgiving dinner.  We played in Virginia City for a day and the girls really enjoyed the snow!

We drove to San Francisco, stopping at the Jelly Belly factory on our way there and that was soo much fun! We had never seen it, and being able to smell the factory smells and getting the free samples of Jelly Belly was great!

We ended our trip by spending two days at Disneyland, which was really tiring and fun. We finally rode the racers in Carsland and the girls insisted that we ride Little Mermaid again. I will be adding more to this post with picture and more details, just wanted to let you all know where I’ve been! I’ll be on the lookout for some more awesome and exciting deals for you too!

Talk to you later!

Katrina 🙂

Hello, my name is Katrina and I’m the Savings Savvy Mom! My husband and I have 3 children (Emily, Chloe, and Nathan) and live in Phoenix, AZ. I have been earn and saving money for almost my entire 8 year marriage. When we were first married we were like most newlyweds and didn’t have very much money. Shor14012368_10207170402205089_676584388_otly after getting married, we found out I was pregnant and we decided I would stay home while Jordan worked so that I could be home with the baby and take care of myself. Living on one income was not easy, and I wanted to find a way I could stretch our one income to cover all of our needs. I saw a special on a blog one day that would allow me to get the newspaper for $1 per week for the first year. This is when I decided to start couponing! I started out saving money so that we could pay for necessary items (shampoo/conditioner, toilet paper, deodorant, laundry soap, etc). At one point, we had enough laundry soap, body wash, and deodorant to last a year without buying anymore at all! Now I am able to save money so we can afford nicer items and add to our vacation fund! I use a variety of websites, coupons, and apps to save and earn money.

I started this blog as a way to share my knowledge with other busy moms who want a way to earn and save extra money, whether it be just go get by or to add money to take a family vacation. If you have any apps or websites you want me to review, please email me at I’d love to hear from you!
